Highlights: Druk Path Trek is a most scenic trek offering beautiful views of mountains and lakes varies from 4 nights to 6 night which takes you cross the chain of mountains that separate the Paro and Thimphu valleys. Druk Path Trek Route: Phajoding. Simakota, Jijilangtso, Jangchulakha, Zele Dzong, Paro or vice- versa. Trip Duration: Varies from 4 nights to 6 nights.

Following the traditional mule route this trek traverse through one of most scenic high altitude alpine wilderness, far flung lakes and yak herder camps, at the constant company of awe inspiring Bhutanese Himalayas peaks. This is easy to moderate trek in nature.
With the recent upgrade of state of art trekking gears, we have added a whole new meaning to words comfort and the Trekking Experience.

    Day 1: Arrive in Paro  (L/D)
    Upon arrival in Paro, you are met by Wind Horse Tours staff as per available time visit Taa Dzong,Rimpung Dzong with gradual walk to Paro town from the dzong.
    Overnight in hotel of your choice.

    Day 2: In Paro (B/L/D)
    Full day touring Paro valley, visit Bondey village, with short hike to visit Dzronglakha monastery drive further to Chele Pass and hike to Kila Nunnury. On a clear day you can see Mt.Jumolhari from the pass. Retrace your drive to Paro valley.

    Day 3: In Paro (B/L/D)
    Today we dedicate our day for hike to Taktsang Monastery. Later half visit Drugyel Dzong,
    Kyichu Lhakhang evening check lists your back pack for next day trek.

    Day 4: Trek to Zele Dzong (B/L/D)
    Climb up gradually from the trail head above Taa Dzong at Damchuna  till Zele Dzong and descend to your camp site below Zele Dzong. About 3hr trek depending on your pace.

    Day 5: Trek to Jangchulakha (B/L/D)
    With Thimphu on your right and Paro valley on your left walk along the ridge to Jangchulakha.
    Overnight in camp(3570 m)

    Day 6: Trek to Jimilangtso Lake (B/L/D)
    Trek for about 15km/7-8hr trek and camp near the lake at 3870m
    Overnight in camp(3950 M)

    Day 7: Trek to Phajoding (B/L/D)
    Climb up gradually up too 4150m and descend to Simkota, which takes 4hrs. Then gradually trek up hill and climb to Laban La pass at 4210m, after which the trail makes a long and steep descent past Thujidrag to Phajoding. The campsite is near the hermitages and monasteries at 3750m. Total about 7-8hrs trek, about 21km.

    Day 8: Trek to Thimphu (B/L/D)
    Rise early to view snow peak Eastern Himalayas if weather permits. After breakfast visit temples and monasteries in Phajoding and start walking downhill for about 5km/3hr to Motithang visit Takin sanctuary. If time permits you can visit some sites as per your interest.
    Overnight In Hotel

    Day 9: In Thumphu (B/L/D)
    After breakfast visit Memorial Chorten, Changangkha Monastery, National Library, National Institute of Traditional Medicine. After lunch, visit Textile Museum, Handicraft Emporium, traditional paper factory and Tashichho Dzong. Evening, you can stroll in Thimphu town.
    Overnight hotel in Hotel.

    Day 10: Drive to Paro & Departure
    Transfer to Paro Airport in time for your departure flight. Most flights out of Bhutan depart in the morning.

    Cost Based on Group size:
    •    Accommodations in listed  hotels or similar in Twin sharing or Double
    •    All meals through-out the trip with evening tea/coffee
    •    Bhutan permits.
    •    All transfers, sightseeing with entrance fees.
    •    Local Wind Horse Tour Guides.
    •    During the trek: Fully organized trek with all meals, bars and beverages.  All trekking gears including Tents, Thermal mats, Blow pillow, Hot-water bag for warmth during night. Pressured Altitude Bag for emergencies (only available in Bhutan with Wind Horse). Pack animals to carry luggage and additional riding pony for emergency, Basic Medical Kit. Trekking staffs include Guide, Cook, assistants and horseman.
    •    Sleeping bags is available if you pay the laundry charges.
    Not included:
    •    Flight into Paro  and out of Paro
    •    Travel / Medical Insurance (recommended).
    •    All personal expenses including optional tips/gratuities, bar/beverages, telephone, laundry, gifts and other personal expenses.
    •    Any additional cost of changing a confirmed itinerary by our own choice or due to your own health/medical reasons, or forced upon by Inclement weather, flight delays, political situation or other conditions beyond our control.
    •    All other cost not listed in "included" section.
